| At differnet times a few of us have been fishing our local lake, and here are a few pictures of the pike that have come out. the first a picture of the pike DS caught, we think it weighed about 18lbs, but he didn't like the thought of holding it so I took this picture when it was swimming away.. That night was really cold, and we had a hard frost, and a bit of snow/sleet even came down,,it was just the right conditions for that elusive pike. the next one of a pike tr managed to get on the bank, weldone, I believe it was his first?? cracking fish .. another of the same pike just before tr picked it up.. the colours were excellent, nice specimen and mine, after a session spinning, I cannot believe I was brave enough to hold it..........as I'd never held one nor have ever wanted too... this was a great achievement for me, eventhough it was a small critter I was keeping an eye on those teeth!! can't wait until the next piking session, but we have the summer months to get through first...

| I spoke to the bailiff at Britford today, and there is a no live bait rule, but spinning and dead baiting are ok ALL year round. | |

| well, thats amazing, I wouldnt like to spin for a pike, just in case it latched onto a carp, but then thats up to the owners. | |

| sorry mike, just realised where you were talking about, that should make it a bit more interesting to fish, you could have a rod out for the small ones, and a line out for an elusive pike. | |

| Some nice Pike there guys and gals.....I still have to catch my first double yet, not sure I would like to catch one whilst on my own though. So far I only handled single figured ones, not to sure if I would be brave enough to handle a double on my own though | |

| Pike are kittens to hold compared with carp, you just have to make sure you handle them carefully, they are pretty fragile even though they look mean. | |
